Description
Pylon sign fabrication
Outdoor advertising is a cost-effective way to promote services and products, used by large and small companies alike. Widely used are advertising pylons. You can see them on highways, streets, near shopping centers and wherever the advertised business is located.
What are pylon signs and why are they needed?
A pylon is a free-standing structure used for advertising or wayfinding, built on a steel frame and designed for installation on specific foundations. There are two types:
-
Mobile. Their main advantage is that they can be moved, so they can be used at presentations and exhibitions. Mobile pylons run on electricity.
-
Stationary. These are more massive pylons fixed directly to a concrete foundation, which must be prepared in advance.
They are installed near car dealerships, filling stations and shopping and entertainment centers. Before they spread into advertising, pylons were used as landmarks at the entrances to towns.
What should a pylon be like?
The main requirement is that it withstands heavy loads — both the frame and the foundation. A quality pylon will not be damaged by wind, rain or snow, and its base must support the weight of the steel frame.
The pylon is sized to fit all the necessary information. Pylons for filling stations and dealerships should display company logos and names. It’s important to plan the location in advance — ideally an open area or near the company entrance.
Pylon production
The advertising surface is made of steel. Our pylon production consists of the following stages:
-
Studying the customer’s specification. The project is discussed by the plant together with the designer and the customer.
-
Agreeing KMD drawings with the customer
-
Fabricating the pylon.
-
Delivery.
You can order steel-frame pylons on the website of our Metallfors plant. We make them at affordable prices and deliver them.
