Description
Steel trusses and floor systems
One of the most reliable steel structures, remaining relevant for a long time despite the rapid development of construction technologies. It is a mechanical system of members and rigid joints. If the rigid joints are replaced with hinged ones, the geometry of the system does not change — this is its main advantage. In addition, thanks to load distribution at the joints, a steel truss is always lighter and stronger than any other structure of a similar type. It consists of two (or three) chords and a web.

Where are steel trusses used?
Wherever a strong horizontal span is needed: road and railway bridges, industrial and residential buildings, workshops and polycarbonate carports, cranes, arched hangars and retail pavilions. Why is a steel truss better? Much lighter than ordinary steel beams, trusses can span up to 70 m. Thanks to their special design, material consumption is much lower than for an ordinary steel frame. A truss does not rot, is fire-safe, durable and convenient in construction.

What types of trusses are there?
Truss types are very diverse. Depending on their purpose, they can be:
-
planar and spatial (taking loads in one or several planes)
-
light and heavy (single-web, up to 50 m long, and double-web, designed for spans over 50 m and dynamic loads)
-
two- and three-chord (three-chord trusses have greater resistance to torsion and bending).

Trusses also differ by web type (cross, triangular, rhombic, etc.) and chord shape (parallel, polygonal, triangular, fish-belly, etc.). There are other, subtler differences too — the choice is best left to an experienced design engineer.

Fabrication of trusses and floor systems is one of our core lines of business. Our equipment ensures precise product parameters. The plant produces trusses and floor systems with high accuracy and in large volumes. Our designers have solid experience with steel structures. A polycarbonate canopy or an arched hangar — any project will be implemented. Design review, delivery, installation, installation supervision, a full set of accompanying documentation and warranties — we can do it all. Get in touch!
