Description

Such fixtures are called “process tooling” and play an important role in every technological process.

They include:

• assembly tables
• molds
• dies
• welding tables
• bench plates
• transport and holding fixtures
• welding jigs.

Process tooling is needed to perform repetitive operations quickly and to simplify workers’ tasks. For example, a welding jig holds a structure together for subsequent welding, and an assembly table with fixed tools helps hold and process parts.

Process tooling is also used to measure and control dimensions, alignment, geometry and other parameters.
